providing a rigorous academic experience for our future health professionals

Our Programming Partners

Life Academy would not be able to provide the many special programs we offer our students without help from our partners.  For ongoing collaboration and continuous support throughout the year, we owe our appreciation to many people at the following organizations:
.
.
Alternatives in Action
AIA works to develop summer and Extended-Day Programs (occurring before, during and after school) involving real-world community projects that reflect young people’s interests and their community’s needs. AIA runs Life's Community and Extended Day Programs, working with more than 150 students at Life Academy.
.

FACES for the Future works with the Children's Hospital and Research Center at Oakland to provide a three-year internship program. The program introduces underrepresented minority high school students to the health professions, assists those students in getting into educational programs of their choice, and equips them with the necessary personal skills to succeed in these and other demanding pursuits. Many of Life Academy's outstanding medical internships are a success because of the people at Faces for the Future.

Oakland Schools Foundation (OSF)
OSF's mission is to help Oakland's innovative public schools to identify, secure, and manage resources to meet the underfunded needs for our children's education.
